I opened the box to way too many pieces to assemble it myself, so I closed it back up and waited for someone much more skilled at assembling things properly than I am. And it was not a simple assemble, with many parts involved. But once it was assembled properly, no disappointments here! It is a comfortable Adirondack chair, and if the firm plastic is uncomfortable, pairing it with a cushion is a great idea.Really high quality product for this Adirondack chair. Very easy to Assemble and looks great on my deck. I need to get more of these!I own 7 Adirondack chairs, there seems to be two types of material they come in, HDPE like this one which is similar to the faux wood deck material but no wood grain texture, it has a slight flex. Most of the others out there are made of polystyrene which is more like a dense rigid plastic often with a fake wood grain but sometimes smooth. I personally much prefer this type, the HDPE has some give and a bit of flex to it, when you tap on it it has a deep sound adsorbing low thud and it’s very comfortable to sit on, while the polystyrene sounds like hard plastic making a high pitched plinky sound when you tap it and it is very rigid, no give and far less comfortable. Two others I own are identical to this one from WUTUTUEE also made of HDPE, I find this material so much more comfortable to sit on, it’s has some shock adsorption, I like the slight give, it also feels more durable. The other difference is the more rigid polystyrene all have threaded sleeves you screw into, the HDPE ones like this one and my other two screw directly into the HDPE or bolt threw it, seems like a more durable design and these are definitely more comfortable. The directions are a bit vague but I figured it out without my husband and it took me about 40 minutes, if you have better tools then what’s included it will go way faster. Everything is lettered and the hardware is also lettered and neatly secure in a blister pack with tools. These chairs do have a pin on a chain you take out, so you can fold them for easier moving, they are quite heavy, so that’s important, most of my polystyrene ones do not fold and that sucks when you need to move them to mow. This is a very comfortable chair, I got the white and it’s a nice slightly off white, one of my other ones just like this is black, I didn’t think much about it when I got it and I don’t recommend black, you’ll burn your arse off on it, I had to move it under cover. Of my seven, this one and my other two just like it are definitely my favorites, better material, has a little give, foldable, and really comfortable. Highly recommend this one, it’s a really nice chair.First, this chair is HEAVY if you're looking for lightweight porch furniture that is easy to move this is not it!Second, the assembly of this piece is complicated. Using the included tools and schematic directions it took me over 90 minutes to put it together. Eventually I gave up on the included Allen wrench and got the power drill.Third, the direction are less than helpful. I'm not entirely sure I've put this together properly and I cannot figure out where the two hanging chain bolts are supposed to go.With those three issues aside, it is a pretty chair, it is comfortable and feels sturdy. If you are handy with building things and don't want to move this piece a bunch it could work.This wasn't the easiest furniture to put together, in no small part because alignment is crucial to ensuring it works as advertised. This one took me some time.Once assembled, however, I was really pleased with it. The ability to fold it up is GREAT for those with limited storage space.I love how it looks. It's a nice summer blue with faux wood grain. This has a classic design that looks good in any setting, and it's just so comfortable that it's hard to resist spending an afternoon lounging in it.We've liked this chair so far. My husband put it together and didn't have any problems with it. We had it in our yard for awhile, and it held up well there. Now we have it on our porch. It's comfortable to sit in and it seems well made. I think it will last. It looks nice, too.We love this Adirondack folding chair. The material has held up all summer and the folding feature is super handy for off-season storage. We plan on purchasing more soon!Bought this chair in white. The assembly was more involved than I expected and took longer than other brand that I purchased. The chair is composite, but does not have a wood grain texture to it, so it looks more plastic than wood. This chair does fold up, but requires removing two pins (one on each side of the chair)The chair on the left in photos (grey) is from a different brand also purchased on Amazon called “YEFU plastic Adirondack” —The grey chair does NOT fold, is stationary, but a better texture, assembly, and quality than the white chair by TORVA. If you need a folding chair, TORVA is a good option. If you don’t need the folding, I like the YEFU chair better.
