This works well for our application (on covered deck with slatted floor, under table to play outside boardgames on, so fallen pieced don’t fall into dirt below deck). I wanted one that water would drain through (more than getting one with a pretty pattern which would just clash with the currently ugly decking color) because cat leaves dead animals on it AND it will get rain & snow in winter.I was VERY disappointed to see tghat 8x6 rugs cost a mere $20 at Home Depot (and other similar stores) but none of them carried this larger size.As an added bomus, it’s thin (no rubber backing) which makes it easy for wheelchair to roll over. Oh, and it’s soft enough to please my texture sensitive spouse when we walk barefoot to & from the hottub.With two 150+ pound Newfoundland dogs we needed something tough and this does the job well. The flat surface is easy to clean and rug lays flat and doesn't slip as we've laid it down. The one in our kitchen is now about 4 years old and beginning to show some wear but still going. This new one is laid out in the main room and is looking good.So this ended up being just a piece of outdoor carpet cut from a larger piece. It works for what I need but was expecting stitched edges and maybe even rubberized on the bottom.So far rug is doing great. It has been down for a couple weeks and no problems,it has eliminated the slipping and sliding on the deck when the grandkids jump in the pool. It drys out great after a rain or kids swimming. I think I will take it up before winter though so we can use it next year. It had a strong smell when we opened it but the smell disappeared quickly.Great addition to my patio. My dogs love having a softer place to lie down.Used it on a lanai that is covered but gets wet when slit of rain. I think it looks cheap though it worksThin and not very sturdy, but since I only use it for wee-wee pads, it’s good enough for me.It’s a big ugly grey piece of felt. It’s nothing like anything I would want in my house. I threw it away.
