I was reluctant to purchase after reading some of the reviews about how it trailered down the road. I needed something to protect my Commander from rocks, insects, etc., when trailering my Can-Am. I pulled the trigger and bought it and was pleasantly surprised.There were comments it didn’t fit tight and had to be installed perfectly to even work. To those that wrote those reviews, I don’t know what their expectations were. Sure, it should fit the Can-Am like it was made for it and it does that. The straps are placed strategically so that you can secure the cover to the machine like it should be....tight and secure so that the cover stays put. They do that very well. Here’s my proof.I just finished a 1,300 mile round trip towing my machine with the cover on it. Everytime I stopped for gas, I’d check the straps. I only re-tightened them ONCE. That was after 200 miles from the start when it was brand new out of the box and had time to relax and conform to the machine. The re-tightening was MINIMAL....maybe an inch of play in the straps that pulled tighter.Every other time I stopped, I checked the straps and they stayed tight and the cover never even got close to coming off the machine. The trip I took was form Billings, MT to Boise, ID through West Yellowstone and road construction. The cover performed better than I expected. No rocks, no insects, very little dust. Kept the rain off it the machine during the mountain downpours. It was a great purchase and a big benefit and accessory for my Can-Am Commander.The material is strong, the fasteners held without slippage and I had NO instruction on how to install it initially....I didn’t need any. It is very instintual. Does the cover flap while traveling? Of course it does....it’s made to have airflow through it to keep the cover from actually blowing off. If you want a towing cover...this is the one.
